The temperature was the coldest in the history of the event but nearly 80 “polar bears” braved the elements to take a dip in the lake while many spectators watched.
The nearly $20,000 proceeds from the event went to SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) and Food for Days (Provides weekend meals for “at risk” children whose members worked the event to help make it successful.

In particular, we want to thank our sponsors:
The Francis Real Estate Team
Paquette Orthodontics
Five Guys
Griffin Insurance/Nationwide
EeZ Fusion/The Cowfish
Freeman Screen Painters
TierOne Graphics
The Spinnaker Group

In conjunction with the Plunge, the second annual PrePolar Plunge Party was held on New Year’s Eve in the Trump Club’s Lakefront Ballroom. The Foundation in partnership with the Woodland Heights PTO presented a family focused event featuring a DJ, face painting, balloon making, a magician and other child friendly activities. Proceeds from the event went to the Woodland Heights PTO whose members led by John and Kim Struble organized and coordinated the evening’s activities.

The Trump National Golf Club with its General Manager Gavin Arsenault were their usual contributing and supportive self.

The 4th annual Scramble for Hope Golf Tournament- will be the Foundation’s next major fundraising event. It will be held on Monday June 4th at the Trump National Golf Club Charlotte.
